Edition Dreidreizehn

The German gallery and publisher Dreidreizehn, (German for the number 313 – and also the license plate of Donald Duck’s car) published a series of lithographs, prints, calendars and more in collaboration with Carl Barks in the 1990s. Although these items were primarily intended for the German market, they quickly became coveted by collectors all over the world.

Sport of Tycoons

The holy grail of money-bin lithographs! This gem was released in 1997 in a single edition of just 313 prints plus 13 publisher’s proofs (PP) and 13 artist’s proofs (AP) making this the lowest print-run of an officially released Barks lithograph second only to Sailing the Spanish Main released by Another Rainbow in 1982. The rarity of this lithograph combined with the fact that it is arguably the best money-bin image ever created by the good duck artist has made it virtually impossible to find on the secondary market. The lithograph offered here is number 229/313 and is professionally framed to a total size of 63 x 70 cm. The original CoA is sadly missing (a fact that has already been factored in the price). Gallery Disneyana+ will gladly issue a CoA attesting to the authenticity of this masterpiece.
