Gallery Disneyana+ to attend Copenhagen Book Fair in November

Gallery Disneyana+ is repeating last year’s success and will once again be attending this year’s Copenhagen Book Fair (Bogforum) in Bella Center from 4-6 November with a sales exhibition deemed to be historic in every aspect.

At the center of this year’s colossal sales exhibition at the Disneyana+ stand are the original animation drawings from the production of the classic and iconic cartoons from the golden age of the Disney studios. These are the original animation drawings and sketches that were used in the beloved animated Disney films and shorts from the 30s and 40s. These are NOT recent prints, copies or reproductions, but rather the completely genuine art, which is rapidly approaching the age of 100! In short, this is genuine American cultural and animation history from Disney’s own archives!

The exhibition features more than 150 of these exciting and historic works, which, among many others, include some of the very earliest Donald Duck sketches from 1934 (the birth year of the choleric duck) as well as animation drawings from Pinocchio’s classic dance sequence.

Another aspect that makes the exhibition extra interesting is the fact that over the years these original animation drawings have primarily been traded on the American market, which is why only a few of them have reached Europe. This is quite simply the first time ever that such a solid number of quality works of this type are being offered on European soil.

This exhibition represents a unique opportunity to simultaneously experience and invest in this special part of the Disney Studios’ golden animation history.

This year’s exhibition is also attended by the American artist and writer couple, Patrick and Shelly Block.

Together they have created more than 90 stories, especially for Donald Duck comics all over the world. Patrick Block was also hand-picked by Carl Barks himself to pen his last story title ‘Somewhere in Nowhere’. At this year’s exhibition we will be displaying a number of Patrick Block’s beautiful oil paintings, watercolors and art prints, and he is also releasing a number of artistic novelties and exciting surprises in collaboration with Disneyana+.

We are also repeating the sales success from last year, so that this year too it will be possible to experience Europe’s widest selection of Carl Barks’ signed and numbered lithographs, serigraphs and other rare collectibles.

Last but not least, this year’s exhibition also offers a number of original and lithographic works of art by the best-selling Disney artist: Eric Robison.

Over the past 30 years, Robison has been one of the Disney Group’s preferred artists for art exhibitions, Disney fairs and a large number of projects in the Disneyland parks worldwide. As something very special, Disneyana+ will also be releasing some exclusive, limited art prints in collaboration with Robison at this year’s exhibition.

This year’s exhibition offers Disney art from the past 90 years in the form of the largest and most comprehensive exhibition in Europe to date, where you can experience everything from original drawings from the Disney’s golden age to the very latest Disney art.
