Donald Duck “Sheriff of Bullet Valley” SOLD-OUT Official Disneyana Convention Exclusive – Limited Edition Bronze Statue #149/200 Signed by Carl Barks and Allison Vought (Walt Disney, 1995). “Stick ’em up Blacksnake!” Donald Duck is the subject of a tribute to the “Sheriff of Bullet Valley”, a classic comic book cover and limited edition bronze statue released through The Official Disneyana Convention. “The Sheriff of Bullet Valley,” written and drawn by artist/author Carl Barks, was a comical send-up of beloved western films appearing in Dell’s Four Color Comics #199, published October 1948. In “The Sheriff of Bullet Valley,” Donald applies as Sheriff and investigates cattle thefts at the Diamond Brand Ranch, only to discover the thief Blacksnake McSquirt. Carl Barks’ cover art for the classic comic book story was brought to life, sculpted by Paul Vought and crafted by Parks Bronze Foundry, for “The Sheriff of Bullet Valley” bronze sculpture released exclusively in a limited edition of 200 through The Official Disneyana Convention in 1995. This limited-edition sculpture numbered 149/200 was among those that sold out and has since been highly sought after by fans. For this impressive Bronze, Donald Duck proudly displays his shiny sheriff star during the climactic showdown, accented with lustrous metallic and silver-toned finishes. To elevate the value of the collectible, the marble base of the statue is outstandingly signed in gold-toned ink by the team of “Good Duck Artist” Carl Barks and acclaimed sculptor Paul Vought AND Bruce Lau (the legendary sculptor behind some of Barks’ other bronzes). This collectible conversation piece stands a tribute to fan-favorite artist Carl Barks and his most-memorable Donald Duck tale!
