Original colour art page: Land of the Pygmy Indians

Description

Page 14 from the story ‘Land of the Pygmy Indians’, originally printed in Uncle scrooge #18 in 1957 this page was recolored for a collection of classic Barks stories in 1981. These were featured in the deluxe book, “Uncle Scrooge McDuck: His Life And Times” from which this is page 256. The new colouring was done by acclaimed Australian artist Peter Ledger under the direction of Carl Barks. Ledger highlighted Barks’ drawings with lush vibrant airbrushed colours resulting in some of the most beautiful Disney comic pages ever. The colour art was done over a blueline printout of the artwork, with an acetate overlay of the art in black. The page has been signed by Barks and Ledger in panels six and seven. This beautiful piece of original colour art is professionally framed and double matted to a total size of 48 x 38 cm and accompanied by the original certificate of authenticity signed by Helen Hamilton of Another Rainbow Productions.
